Aryan Mitta ’23 was one of a dozen rising Sixth Formers to participate in an SPS Advanced Science and Engineering Program Externship this summer. His work at Northeastern University taught him a great deal about osteoarthritis and biochemistry — and himself.
This summer’s Advanced Studies Program welcomed 180 talented students from New Hampshire public high schools for five weeks of intensive academics. In the Data Driven class taught by Bowman Dickson ’05, students wrapped up their experience with a presentation to the state Department of Health and Human Services.
A singer and songwriter, Olivia Connolly ’23 says St. Paul’s School has nurtured her passion for creating art. She released her first single earlier this year, and her album of 12 original songs will be out this fall.
In the quiet between the end of the Advanced Studies Program and the beginning of the School year, the grounds themselves seem to be resting, readying themselves for games of Spikeball and Can Jam on the lawns, athletic contests on the fields and cross country trails, morning strolls from the dorms to Coit and the Chapel, and more. The campus will again begin to bustle with activity when Sixth Formers arrive on Sept. 2, followed shortly by new and returning students.

Pieter Fossel ’10 co-founded Hydrosat, a Washington, D.C.-based startup that captures and compiles high-resolution satellite thermal and infrared imagery, to get a clearer picture of Earth’s increasingly hot surface. It's also helping put into perspective humans’ ever-expanding impact on the planet.

Her Purpose Closing Celebration
During Anniversary Weekend, St. Paul’s School wrapped up its yearlong celebration of coeducation, “Her Purpose: 50 Years of SPS Women in the World,” with an event at the Athletics and Fitness Center. Following a series of virtual and live panels that examined the impact of SPS girls and women in business, athletics, public service, environmental advocacy and the arts, the culminating event brought together a group of past and present SPS teachers to reflect on their School experiences and their roles in educating SPS students.
