Lifting Each Other Up

As the School continues its yearlong observation of the 50th anniversary of coeducation, a trio of the earliest African American and Latinx alumnae shared stories and reminiscences about how St. Paul’s School shaped their path and purpose and offered words of advice for current SPS girls during a virtual panel hosted by the Alumni Association’s Alumni of Color Advisory Council and XIX Society.

Finding Purpose Through Athletics

Much has been written about how athletic competition builds character — the drive and focus it requires, the manner in which it depends on both individual excellence and teamwork. On Tuesday, Nov. 30, Rector Kathy Giles will be joined by three SPS alumnae who will reflect on their experiences as athletes and the role sports has played in defining their personal sense of purpose.

Putting on “Blue Stockings”

Though set in a different century and a different country, “Blue Stockings,” still offers a timely message about coeducation. For new student Mason Deas ’24, the Fall Term play was a fun and meaningful way to immerse herself into the St. Paul’s School community.

Civil Conversations

Humanities teacher Chris Carter describes the opportunity to live and teach at St. Paul’s School as a gift. Helping students navigate an increasingly polarized political landscape for nearly three decades is a gift she’s given back to SPS.

Good Food and Fellowship

The food was good, the conversation and feeling of fellowship even better. After more than 18 months, a modified version of Seated Meal returned to the Upper Dining Room during the second week of November.

The Fall That Was

Opening Days and Family Weekend. Classes and community service; athletic contests, clubs, and the arts. Ten weeks of Fall Term went by in the blink of an eye, and we’ve captured many of our favorite moments here.
